Voyage data recorder (VDR) FURUNO VR-3000 is designed to record and store data from various sensors and actuators vessel. Any information from the ship to help in the study and analysis of any incidents . Between voyage data recorders and simplified voyage data recorder (S-VDR) there is no fundamental difference. The only difference is the amount of information to be recorded. DDR must register more data than the S-VDR. Revised SOLAS Chapter V requires to install DDR on passenger vessels with a gross tonnage of 150 tons and above all voyages, and other ships of 3,000 tons gross tonnage and above engaged on international voyages, and new ships constructed from 1 July 2002. VDR FURUNO VR-3000 is designed to record the current navigation information talks and negotiations on the bridge VHF radio.
